Our Studio and Live Performance Space

At Stella Tapes we believe that capturing the live performance, in an acoustically curated setting and with limited attendance, results in the most authentic sonic experience. We want artists to see each other, feel the vibrations of each others instruments, send cues to each other, feel emotions together. Imagine an orchestra where every player is part of a whole, and is led by a conductor. That's the experience we are able to recreate, where the conductor is the band's chemistry with each other.

Our place, which we call Reel to Reel Studios because of our partnership with Reel to Reel Haven, is a special one for us. We built it with our own hands, and put a lot of love and passion into it. And investment. We have an incredible backline, a great collection of vintage guitars and amps, an amazing Analog console and lots of outboard gear. And , of course, lots of tape machines, including a vintage 1970 Ampex, the legendary Studer 827 24 track recorder, and many others that we use for mastering and duplication.

Lots of studios have gear, but we think the environment is what brings all together. The ceiling height, the wooden columns, the industrial vibe, even our own smoke stack! It all contributes to put the artists in the best possible conditions to feel good and relaxed, and to focus on producing great music. This place is also special for us because it hosts our fundraising events, thanks to which we raised millions for our cause to fight Cancer in all its forms, with the unique combination of medicine, technology and art. Our artists are our greatest allies on our mission to make a difference for the world.
